OV4C sets up and facilitates partnerships with learning communities around the world. Using technology and in-person connections, students learn and share through virtual conversations and collaborative investigations.
Partnerships are built on a foundation of Haves and Needs. Everyone brings important elements to the table (HAVES), and everyone has NEEDS for furthering learning through connecting with others. “We begin each partnership by taking the time to assess the HAVES and NEEDS so that all sides benefit from in-person and synchronous learning relationships.”

Hands On Learning
Grit and Perseverance
Freedom to Fail

“Our first collaborations were between Colorado and Nayarit, Mexico, incorporating guitar instruction, language instruction (English & Spanish), development of cultural awareness, and investigations in environmental science and technology. Each of these areas continues to grow in scope and potential.”
The students and teachers from Mexico also have expressed an interest in collaborations centered around robotics and the preservation of wildlife habitats. Students and teachers in Colorado are eager to learn more about dance, culture, and the diverse plant life, animals, and ecosystems of Nayarit.
